Ph.D. (degree earned on March 13th, 2013; defended on February 25th, 2013) at University of Gothenburg, Gothenburg, Sweden. Major: Natural Science, specializing in Physical Geography. Supervisors are Prof. Deliang Chen, Prof. Hans Linderholm and Prof. Jee-Hoon Jeong. Title of the Ph.D. thesis: "Observed and simulated changes in extreme precipitation and cold surges in China: 1961-2005".

2002 - 2005

M.S. in Meteorology, School of Physics, Peking University, Beijing, China. Major: Climatology - East Asia summer monsoon and climate change of China. Supervisor: Prof. Weihong Qian. Title of the thesis: "Climate characteristic of circulation types along the lower reaches of Yellow River and the middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River for recent 40 years".
